NFL Draft - Day 3: Jets, Packers select top remaining QBs; Collins goes undrafted

Look back at all seven rounds of the 2015 NFL Draft with our Draft Tracker, which includes scouting profiles, trades and rumors.

Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3

Jets take a quarterback early

The New York Jets traded up one spot to No. 103 overall to select quarterback Bryce Petty. Petty possesses tantalizing arm talent and played in a prolific offense at Baylor, but he must learn the nuances of the pro game if he's to succeed in the NFL. It's likely the Jets view him as a project player and not a realistic challenger for Geno Smith in 2015.

The Jets surrendered a seventh-round pick to the Jacksonville Jaguars to make the move.

Collins goes undrafted

Once thought to be a first-round lock La'el Collins didn't hear his name called at all in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Despite the fact he's not considered a suspect, Collins' stock dropped when he was sought for questioning in regards to the death of a pregnant woman believed to be his former girlfriend.

The LSU product had reportedly planned to sit out the upcoming season and re-enter the draft next year if selected by a team on Saturday, but he now becomes an undrafted free agent and is thus ineligible for the 2016 draft entirely.

Packers surprise by taking Hundley

UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley probably didn't predict his landing spot in the NFL. Few, if any, did.

The Green Bay Packers traded up in the fifth round to nab Hundley. It's a curious move, as Aaron Rodgers is firmly entrenched as the Packers' starter and will likely remain in that role for the duration of Hundley's rookie contract.

Vikings end Clemmings's fall

The Minnesota Vikings selected Pittsburgh offensive tackle T.J. Clemmings with the 110th overall pick, ending the fall of a player some analysts considered a first-round talent.

Medical concerns about a stress fracture in Clemmings's foot were the impetus for his fall. If Clemmings gets healthy, he could provide a tremendous return on the Vikings' investment.

Jarrett's home struck with fire

Defensive tackle Grady Jarrett heard his name called by the Atlanta Falcons in the fifth round Saturday, one day after a fire struck his Conyers, Ga., home.

Fortunately no injuries were suffered, and the house wasn't completely destroyed, but a room filled with the former Clemson standout's trophies and memorability was lost in the flames.

Running backs continue to come off the board

With plenty of talent remaining at the position after the first three rounds, several running backs heard their names called early Saturday.

Jeremy Langford was the first to come off the board in the fourth round, joining the Chicago Bears to add some depth and competition behind starter Matt Forte.

Other running back picks on the day include Javorius Allen to the Baltimore Ravens, Mike Davis to the San Francisco 49ers, David Cobb to the Tennessee Titans and Jay Ajayi to the Miami Dolphins.

Gerald Christian is Mr. Irrelevant

Selected by the Arizona Cardinals with the final pick in the seventh round (256th overall), tight end Gerald Christian is the Mr. Irrelevant of the 2015 NFL Draft.

Proving his ability on special teams will be a key factor in Christian earning a roster spot with the club out of his rookie training camp.
