La'el Collins goes undrafted, reportedly won't sign UDFA deal until Monday

Brian Spurlock / USA TODAY Sports

Offensive tackle prospect La'el Collins, once considered a likely first-round pick, didn't hear his name called in the 2015 NFL Draft.

The LSU product is sought by police for questioning in the death of his pregnant former girlfriend, but isn't considered a suspect in the case. It's likely teams considered Collins too risky to select until the legal matter in which he's involved is resolved.

Collins may not have helped his chances of being drafted by threatening to re-enter the draft in 2016 if he wasn't selected by the conclusion of the third round.

That's irrelevant now, as Collins will immediately become an unrestricted free agent and is ineligible to enter next year's draft.

Collins will evaluate offers from teams and decide his next move on Monday at the earliest, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.

Also on Monday, Collins is scheduled to be questioned by police.
