Paul Heyman hints at Rousey contract extension with WWE
Ronda Rousey may be making a long-term return to WWE.
WWE personality Paul Heyman hinted at the former Raw Women's Champion signing a contract extension with the company in an interview with Joseph Staszewski of the New York Post. Rousey's contract was set to expire on April 10, 2021.
"That's another funny thing about people who don’t discuss their business in public forums,” Heyman said. "Everyone presumes that Ronda Rousey's contract expires at a certain time. I don't understand why people don't realize that perhaps, just perhaps, Ronda Rousey's contract has been extended or she has worked out a new deal and it would not benefit either WWE or Ronda Rousey to go public with that information. But why wouldn't people understand that it would be kept secret?"
Rousey has been on hiatus from the WWE since her WrestleMania 35 appearance in April 2019. She stated earlier this year that she had no plans to return to WWE full time due to the lifestyle and "ungrateful fans."
