Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson could be making a return to the gridiron.
The WWE legend and new XFL owner brought up the possibility of playing for his football league in an Instagram post Tuesday.
"I was a good football player with great 'upper-body violence,' as my coach Ed Orgeron loved to call it, so maybe I'll be the first owner in pro football history to actually suit up and play in the game," Johnson wrote, adding that he would likely get his "ass whupped."
Johnson played football at the University of Miami and had a brief stint in the CFL before pursuing a career in wrestling.
The 48-year-old and his business partner, Dany Garcia, purchased the XFL in August for around $15 million. The league was previously owned by WWE chairman and CEO Vince McMahon.
