A spokesperson for Eminem shot down reports about the rapper working with WWE.

Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp reported Tuesday that Eminem reached a deal with WWE that would see him contribute to the upcoming WWE 2K20 video game soundtrack and appear on an episode of "SmackDown" later this year. However, Eminem's spokesperson, Dennis Dennehy, issued a statement to Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet denying such a deal.

"There was a very brief, exploratory conversation that involved a third party and 2K Sports, not Eminem's team," Dennehy said. "It has not gone beyond preliminary discussions, and any reports to the contrary are false. Right now there are no plans to further pursue it."

Sapp is sticking by his report, tweeting Wednesday, "There was an agreement reached yesterday. None of the parties involved are happy about it and are doing 'damage control' on something that isn't damaged because they didn't think it would get out."
