Former NFL running back DeAngelo Williams received a cruel welcome back to Impact Wrestling on Thursday night, getting kicked in the groin and hit with a chair by current Impact World Champion Austin Aries.
Williams called Aries out on Twitter afterward, setting the stage for a possible future match.
Hey @AustinAries I guess u are hot stuff now that u cheap shotted me and hit me with a chair when I wasn’t looking! Why don’t u square up like the belt collector u claim to be! Make it happen @IMPACTWRESTLING 😡😡

Williams made his pro wrestling debut for Impact Wrestling at Slammiversary XV last year, teaming up with Quinn "Moose" Ojinnaka in a match against Eli Drake and Chris Adonis.
