Magic Johnson credits The Rock for Lonzo's improved diet
The Los Angeles Lakers may want to consider hiring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson full time after the success of his pep talk.
The WWE star turned actor and producer spoke to the Lakers last season as part of the team's "Genius Talks" program, which has featured other high-profile guests such as DreamWorks co-founder Jeffrey Katzenberg and Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk.
Lakers president of basketball operations Magic Johnson recently spoke to ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk about the program, and touched on the impact The Rock had on players like Lonzo Ball, who was in his rookie season.
"The Rock came in and was so passionate," Magic said. "He really fired them up and got them going and (feeling) like, 'Hey, I need to stay in this gym and do the things I need to do.' (The Rock) gave them the discipline. Making sure (to watch) what you put in your body. That was a big thing, too. Everybody changed their diets now - Lonzo changed (his diet)."

Kyle Kuzma also took The Rock's advice to heart. In an Instagram post last month, Kuzma thanked him for tips on adding muscle this offseason.
Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka told Youngmisuk he plans to continue "Genius Talks" next season, though he's keeping the guest list under wraps for now.
