The hits keep coming at Wimbledon.

Defending champion Iga Swiatek became the latest star to fall on the women's side, losing to Alexandra Eala in straight sets Saturday.

Swiatek's forehand fell apart in the second set. She dropped the first four games of the set, and couldn't recover despite trying to make a late push.

Eala eventually closed out a 7-6 (9), 6-2 victory on Centre Court. With the upset win, the 21-year-old from the Philippines reached the fourth round at a Grand Slam for the first time in her career.

Eala, the No. 29 seed in the tournament, closed out the match on serve in a marathon game that took over 10 minutes.

Earlier on Saturday, No. 2 seed Elena Rybakina - another former Wimbledon champion - was eliminated by Elise Mertens.

No. 5 seed Mirra Andreeva, who arrived at the All England Club on the back of winning the French Open, also suffered an early upset loss in the tournament, falling in the second round to Barbora Krejcikova.
