Serena Williams has added another accolade to her legacy, becoming the first athlete ever to make Forbes' list of the world's richest self-made women.

The tennis star came in at No. 80 on the annual list with an estimated net worth of $225 million. Other listed celebrities include Oprah Winfrey (No. 10), Rihanna (No. 37), Madonna (No. 39), Beyonce (No. 51), and Taylor Swift (No. 60).

Forbes notes that Williams' $29-million total income last season was the highest of her career, thanks in part to endorsement deals with Nike and JPMorgan Chase. Williams has also invested in 34 startups over the past five years through her company Serena Ventures.

"I want to be a part of it," Williams said. "I want to be in the infrastructure. I want to be the brand, instead of just being the face."
