Cameroon's national team is mired in crisis just days before the start of the 2014 World Cup.

French newspaper L'Equipe reports Cameroon's players refused to board their plane to Brazil due a dispute over bonuses.

Cameroon President Paul Biya had chartered a plane for the team that was due to fly out of Yaounde on Sunday, but it took never took off.

The players postponed a decision to strike on May 23, and played two friendlies against Germany and Moldova as anger within the team increased according to the report.

A similar situation played out before the 2002 World Cup. Cameroon begins their 2014 campaign against Mexico on Friday.
