Co-hosts the United States and Canada, together with Nike, unveiled the kits the two nations will each wear on home soil at this summer's FIFA World Cup. Check out the new looks below.

Nike collaborated with the U.S. Soccer Federation and the team on the two new designs - one stars, one stripes - incorporating player feedback in an effort to "authentically represent" the squad's identity, U.S. Soccer said.

"The team wasn't too fond of the (uniforms) we were going to be wearing (in Qatar), just because we didn't feel it represented us necessarily and the country as we'd like," midfielder Tyler Adams recently said of the 2022 World Cup jerseys, according to Steven Goff of Yahoo Sports.

The new home shirt features wavy stripes, and each jersey has an "Inner Pride" mark inside the collar.

The navy blue away uniform, meanwhile, is adorned with stars.

Fans will get their first look at the kits in action later this month. The USMNT is scheduled to play Belgium in a friendly match March 28 before taking on Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal three days later.

Canada's red home kit features a two-tone design centered around the maple leaf. The inside of the collar has a "Lucky Loonie," a callback to the 2002 Olympics when a Canadian icemaker buried a $1 coin under center ice before the men's and women's hockey teams captured gold in Salt Lake City.

"When we put this jersey on, it represents every place and every community that helped build The People's Team. We take this responsibility seriously," head coach Jesse Marsch said in Canada Soccer's news release.

A striking new black away kit was inspired by "frozen landscapes" and uses a "cracked-ice graphic (to capture) both tension and beauty," according to Canada Soccer.

Canadian supporters will see the new kits on the pitch when Marsch's squad plays friendly matches against Iceland and Tunisia - on March 28 and 31, respectively - in Toronto.

Fellow World Cup co-host Mexico's home shirt was unveiled as part of Adidas' initial kit release in November. El Tri's away kit, along with those of the other nations taking part in the tournament this summer, is expected to be revealed later in March.
