Brazil team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar has confirmed right-back Danilo will be fit to play in the last-16 tie against Mexico on Monday.
"Danilo is fit to play. He trained today and is available for Tite," Lasmar said, as reported by ESPN.
The Manchester City man was nursing a hip injury but could come back into the starting XI as the Selecao begins its knockout campaign.
Lasmar also gave an update on left-back Marcelo. The Real Madrid man had limped out of the win over Serbia, and Lasmar suggested after the game that a dodgy hotel mattress could have been to blame.
"Marcelo did his first physical work and he felt good. We are optimistic he can be used in the game," explained Lasmar.
However, Lasmar reportedly confirmed winger Douglas Costa will not yet be fit to return. Costa suffered a thigh injury earlier in the tournament which has limited his action thus far.
Brazil will enter Monday's tie as the heavy favourite over Mexico, with or without the trio.
