The Egyptian Football Association has all but cleared Mohamed Salah to play in the World Cup.
The FA said in a statement Wednesday, as translated by BBC Sport, that Salah won't need more than three weeks to recover from the shoulder injury he suffered in last weekend's Champions League final.
However, he would still be at risk of missing Egypt's opening match June 15 against Uruguay.
There were fears the 25-year-old would miss the World Cup completely after his unfortunate coming-together with Sergio Ramos on Saturday. It was later determined that he dislocated his shoulder when he landed on the pitch.
He began the rehabilitation process the day after the 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid, and travelled to Spain on Tuesday for treatment.
The current timeframe would give Salah a chance of playing against World Cup host Russia on June 19, and more likely versus Saudi Arabia in the Group A finale on June 25.
