SUI vs. CAN: Canada advances to gold medal game with 3-1 victory over hard-nosed Swiss side
The Canadian women's ice hockey team advanced to the gold-medal game with a 3-1 victory Monday over a game Swiss side that battled extremely hard for 60 minutes.
Though body-checking is illegal in women's hockey, it was a physical, testy game. Body checking minors were called on two occasions in the contest, but could've been assessed several other times.
Canada outshot the Swiss 48-22 in the game, and will face the United States at the Bolshoy Ice Dome in the gold-medal game on Thursday.
