U.S. forward Jocelyne Lamoureux entered the record books on Tuesday morning.
During the second period of action versus the Russian women's hockey team, Lamoureux scored two goals in six seconds, setting an Olympic record for the fastest two goals scored by the same player.
Former Canadian forward Caroline Ouellette previously owned the record after scoring two goals in 16 seconds against Italy in 2006.
The U.S. entered the first intermission holding a 1-0 lead over the Olympic Athletes from Russia, and Lamoureux's outburst extended the lead to 3-0. Gigi Marvin added another goal to give the U.S. a 4-0 advantage after two periods.
PyeongChang is Lamoureux's third trip to the Olympics, but she's still searching for her first gold medal.
