Maiava completed 20 of 32 passes for 277 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 42-35 win versus Rutgers. He also rushed three times for nine yards.
Analysis:Maiaiva continues to turn in magnificent numbers for the Trojans, but the defense struggled to contain a resurgent Rutgers team. Luckily for Lincoln Riley, his offense is built to withstand these late-game assaults, which have happened all too frequently over the past two seasons. The team will need a full four quarters from Maiiava as they host an Oregon team that will be even tougher to put away.
