Indiana Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell set a new record Friday for the most points scored in a single WNBA season with 1,034, overtaking the previous record of 1,021 set by A'ja Wilson in 2024.
Mitchell eclipsed Wilson's tally with a 3-pointer from the elbow midway through the third quarter of Indiana's 103-85 win over the Toronto Tempo. She also extended her record streak of games with at least 20 points scored to 25.

The 30-year-old finished with a team-high 33 points on 12-of-17 shooting, including 7-of-11 from deep. Fever teammate Caitlin Clark added 28 points with 14 assists - seven of which came on baskets by Mitchell.
Mitchell entered Friday averaging a career-best 25 points but may need to maintain that momentum through the final portion of the season in order to keep Wilson from reclaiming her record. The Las Vegas Aces star and four-time MVP has racked up 991 points this season and is averaging 26.1 per game. Both players have three regular-season contests remaining.
