Hayes (knee) is listed as day-to-day with a knee injury and is not expected to appear Week 3 against Texas A&M-Commerce, Pete Thamel of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis:Hayes, who exited Saturday's win over Sam Houston State before returning late in the contest, is expected to be held out of next Saturday's game against the Lions due to precautionary reasons. The 6-foot redshirt sophomore quarterback is out to a productive start with the Golden Hurricanes this season. If Hayes is ultimately held out next week, senior Dexter Williams would likely start for Tulsa.
