The Indiana Fever may have lost Friday, but Caitlin Clark is still finding positives.
"The hardest thing as a basketball player, when you're not making shots, (is) to really stay in it," Clark said after going 7-for-17 from deep in the Fever's 104-102 loss to the Washington Mystics, according to ESPN's Kareem Copeland. "So I'm certainly proud of myself - really, really battled. And a lot of those shots are very, very makeable."

The 24-year-old two-time All-Star was 3-for-16 from three-point range with 11 turnovers entering Friday while averaging 22 points through two games. Clark seems to be leaving her early-season struggles behind, though, after a 32-point barrage with eight assists and four rebounds in over 37 minutes of action.
"I think I started hesitating a little bit and probably hesitated a little bit to start the season," Clark added. "I don't need to do that. I'm best when I'm just letting it fly."
Clark missed large portions of the Fever's season last year, including the entire playoffs due to a right groin injury.
The Fever are now 1-2 to kick off the 2026 campaign, and have allowed over 100 points in both losses.
