Sun fire coach White, who could reportedly land with Fever
The Connecticut Sun have parted ways with head coach Stephanie White after two seasons, the team announced Monday.
The 2023 Coach of the Year has been linked to the Indiana Fever and is a candidate to land the job, Annie Costabile of the Chicago Sun-Times reported before the Sun announced her dismissal.
Connecticut went 55-25 and made two semifinal appearances during White's two-year tenure.
"We want to thank Stephanie for her time in Connecticut and her commitment to our organization over the past two seasons," Sun president Jen Rizzotti said in a statement. "We wish her the best in her future endeavors."
White was the head coach of the Fever in 2015 and 2016, going 37-31 during her two campaigns in Indiana.
The Sun are the seventh WNBA franchise to make a coaching change this offseason.
