Aces' Hayes named WNBA Sixth Player of the Year
Las Vegas Aces guard Tiffany Hayes has won the 2024 Sixth Player of the Year award, the WNBA announced Friday.
Hayes averaged 9.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists off the bench for the Aces this season. She received 38 of the 67 votes for the award, with New York Liberty forward Leonie Fiebich coming in second with 21 votes, according to WNBA reporter Khristina Williams.
Hayes retired in December of 2023, but Las Vegas signed her in May. She'd previously spent 10 seasons with the Atlanta Dream after being drafted to the franchise in 2012. Hayes was named an All-Star in 2017 and made the All-WNBA first team in 2018.
Las Vegas forward Alysha Clark won the award last season.
The Aces are down 2-0 to the New York Liberty in the WNBA semifinals and face elimination.
