WNBA announces 1st-round playoff schedule
The WNBA playoffs have arrived.
The league announced the full schedule for the first round after the Atlanta Dream clinched the eighth and final spot in the postseason over the Chicago Sky and Washington Mystics on Thursday. The Dream defeated the top-seeded New York Liberty in a preview of the teams' playoff matchup.
All four playoff series kick off Sunday beginning with Dream-Liberty. New York dominated the regular season with a 32-8 record. The Liberty are looking to avenge their Finals loss in 2023 and prevent the Las Vegas Aces from winning a third straight championship.
The first round consists of best-of-three series, with the home team hosting the first two contests.
