Connecticut Sun head coach Stephanie White was named the WNBA Coach of the Year, the league announced Sunday.

White helped lead the Sun to a franchise-record 27 wins in her first season as coach, helping Connecticut clinch the No. 3 seed.

She received 36 votes to win the award, while Dallas Wings coach Latricia Trammell came in second with 11. Sandy Brondello of the New York Liberty placed third with six votes.

White is the third coach in Sun history to win the award. Curt Miller took home the achievement in 2017 and 2021, while Mike Thibault was honored in 2006 and 2008.
