The Las Vegas Aces star Candace Parker is out indefinitely after undergoing surgery Monday to repair a fractured foot.

Parker has been playing with the injury all season and surgery was the only course of action for a full return to health, the club added.

Parker has been sidelined since July 7. The 37-year-old joined the Aces as a free agent after spending the last two campaigns with her hometown Chicago Sky.

She's averaging nine points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.5 steals per game for the league-leading Aces this season.

Las Vegas has turned to veteran Kiah Stokes at center in Parker's absence. The 30-year-old is averaging 2.5 points and 5.3 rebounds across 23 appearances this season.

The defending champions are off to one of the best starts in WNBA history with a record of 21-2.
