The Dallas Wings have acquired the No. 1 pick in the 2021 WNBA Draft from the Seattle Storm in exchange for forward Katie Lou Samuelson and a 2022 second-round selection.
The No. 1 pick had belonged to the New York Liberty but was traded to Seattle earlier Wednesday for Natasha Howard.
Dallas now becomes the first team in WNBA history to hold the first and second overall picks in the same draft. The Wings also hold the fifth, seventh, and thirteenth selections.
The date for the 2021 draft remains undetermined.
