USC extends Gottlieb through 2030

Lindsay Gottlieb agreed to a contract extension that will keep her at USC through 2030.

"I'm honored to be the head coach at USC, representing both the incredible alumni of our program, and the young women I have the privilege to coach each and every day," Gottlieb said in a statement. "We set out to restore USC to the highest echelon of women's basketball, and the magic we experienced this season was a byproduct of the vision, belief and efforts of so many — our administration, fans, players past and present, and our entire coaching staff. But this is just the beginning. We have much more to accomplish. I'm thrilled to be here for a long time."

The Trojans made the Elite Eight in her third season as head coach. USC is projected to contend again for an NCAA title with All-American guard JuJu Watkins and the No. 1-ranked recruiting class, per ESPN, for the upcoming campaign.

Gottlieb has led the Trojans to a 62-32 record since joining. She previously spent eight seasons with California, leading the Golden Bears to seven March Madness appearances and a Final Four berth in 2013.

She also served as an assistant coach with the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2019-21.

Two players from last season's team, McKenzie Forbes and Kaitlyn Davis, were drafted into the WNBA in April.
