Report: Pulisic joining AC Milan after Chelsea accept bid worth initial €20M
Christian Pulisic is leaving Chelsea.
The United States star will spend the next chapter of his career in Italy after Chelsea accepted an improved bid from AC Milan worth €20 million plus add-ons, according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano.
Pulisic was pushing to join Milan since Monday after previously agreeing to terms with the Serie A club.
Despite interest from a Lyon team that reportedly tabled a €25-million bid for the 24-year-old winger, Pulisic is understood to have his heart set on joining Milan.
Milan launched a €14-million bid for Pulisic that Chelsea rejected last week. The Italian club returned with a revised offer Wednesday.
The successful bid could end up being worth €22 million in total if add-ons are achieved, Romano reported Thursday.
Pulisic is expected to undergo a medical and finalize his contract before officially being unveiled as a new AC Milan player.
His former Chelsea teammate Ruben Loftus-Cheek joined the Rossoneri last week in a transfer reportedly worth €20 million.
