United settle on Reguilon: After expressing interest in Chelsea's Marc Cucurella, Manchester United swiftly struck a deal to sign Tottenham's Sergio Reguilon on loan. United don't have an option to buy the player at the end of the season. (The Athletic)

The Gallagher wars: Tottenham Hotspur are going to make a late attempt to sign Conor Gallagher from Chelsea. Spurs could face strong competition from Bayern Munich for his signature. (The Guardian)

Bayern shopping in England: In addition to Gallagher, Fulham's Joao Palhinha could join Bayern. The midfielder already agreed to a five-year deal. Negotiations are ongoing between the two clubs. (Sky Sport Germany)

Man United working on Amrabat deal: Manchester United want to initially sign Fiorentina's Sofyan Amrabat on loan to ensure they don't break financial rules. There's been no progress in their Ryan Gravenberch pursuit. (The Athletic)

More financial gymnastics at Barca: Joao Cancelo can't join Barcelona until the Spanish giants work out how to comply with La Liga's salary rules. The club is confident the Manchester City full-back will eventually arrive. (The Athletic)

AC Milan about to sign Taremi: Porto accepted AC Milan's final €15-million offer for Mehdi Taremi after convincing the Rossoneri to pay the fee in a shorter time frame. Taremi was set to become a free agent next season. (Gianluca Di Marzio)

Celtic targeting Nat Phillips: Celtic are looking to sign Liverpool defender Nat Phillips on loan. Middlesbrough are also interested, but the Scottish club can offer Champions League football. Phillips doesn't appear to be in Liverpool's plans. (The Athletic)

Wolves strengthening rearguard: Wolves are busy. Uruguayan defender Santiago Bueno will undergo a medical ahead of a £8.5-million transfer. The 21-year-old has played over 100 times for Girona. (BBC Sport)

No deal for Muani: Eintracht Frankfurt rejected Paris Saint-Germain's latest €80-million offer for Randal Kolo Muani. Frankfurt reiterated they want closer to €100 million. PSG's Hugo Ekitike could move the other way. (Sky Sports)

United bid for Cucurella: Manchester United are in talks with Chelsea over a potential loan deal for left-back Marc Cucurella. The Blues want more than the £2-million loan fee United initially offered. The defender is open to joining Erik ten Hag's side. (Fabrizio Romano)

Maguire staying put: Manchester United told Harry Maguire they won't allow him to leave in the final days of the transfer window. Raphael Varane's recent injury could allow Maguire to earn more playing time. (The Guardian)

Qatar calling for Coutinho: Aston Villa midfielder Philippe Coutinho is considering a huge offer from Qatari champions Al-Duhail. The Brazilian signed for Villa permanently last summer after impressing on loan. (Sky Sports)

Spurs want Johnson: Tottenham entered the race for Nottingham Forest's prized possession Brennan Johnson. The north London side is hoping a bid in the region of £40 million will convince Forest to sell before Friday's deadline. (The Telegraph)

Everton nab Beto: Udinese forward Beto is set to complete a €30-million move to Everton. The Portuguese player was previously linked with moves to Inter Milan and Napoli. Everton negotiated a fee below Beto's €35-million release clause. (Fabrizio Romano)

Guendouzi off to Italy: Marseille agreed to sell French midfielder Matteo Guendouzi to Lazio for €13 million plus €5 million in bonuses. Guendouzi will become the Biancocelesti's ninth summer signing and play in the fourth European league of his career. (Sky Sport Italia)
