Club World Cup bracket: PSG, Bayern, Madrid, Juve on same side
We have reached the business end of the 2025 Club World Cup.
The revamped tournament is moving into the knockout stage after an intriguing opening round ended Thursday. The European clubs, for the most part, came through unscathed, while Brazil's representatives made noise with their play on the pitch and their standout supporters in the stands.
Real Madrid and Al-Hilal were the last two teams to advance from the group stage. The former beat Red Bull Salzburg 3-0 to finish atop Group H, while Al-Hilal grabbed second place. Madrid will meet Juventus in the last 16, while Al-Hilal have the daunting task of taking on Manchester City, who were the only team to emerge from the opening round with a perfect record.

Lionel Messi's reunion with European champions Paris Saint-Germain, and his influential former coach Luis Enrique, is arguably the standout fixture of the next round. Inter Miami and PSG are on the same side of the bracket as Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Juventus, and Borussia Dortmund.
Manchester City, fresh off a 5-2 shellacking of Juve, will feel confident about their chances of reaching the final on the other side of the bracket, though Champions League finalists Inter Milan could potentially stand in their way in the quarterfinals.
Brazil is guaranteed to have at least one team in the quarters, with Palmeiras and Botafogo set to meet in the last 16. That's the lone last-16 matchup that doesn't involve a European side.
The Club World Cup final will be played July 13 at MetLife Stadium.
