Report: Juventus signing Luiz as part of big swap with Aston Villa
Douglas Luiz is headed to Juventus.
Aston Villa are finalizing a deal to sell the Brazilian midfielder to the Bianconeri for €50 million, reports David Ornstein of The Athletic.
The Italian club will send Samuel Iling-Junior and Enzo Barrenechea the other way in a swap deal with Villa that will see Juventus recoup €22 million, Ornstein adds.
Both players will sign five-year contracts with Aston Villa after they complete medicals next week.
London-born Iling-Junior, 20, featured mainly as a left winger in 27 appearances for Juventus last season, while Barrenechea, 23, played 39 times during his loan spell at Frosinone.
Luiz was influential in helping Aston Villa qualify for the Champions League last season with nine goals in 35 Premier League games.
The transfer is expected to help Aston Villa turn a significant profit this summer and avoid breaching the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules.
