Roma has reportedly agreed to sell powerful midfielder Radja Nainggolan to Inter for €24 million and two players, according to Sky Sport Italia's Fabrizio Romano.
The capital club also finalised a deal to sign playmaker Javier Pastore from Paris Saint-Germain for an initial €20-million fee, Romano added.
Inter managed to reduce Roma's €38-million asking price for Nainggolan by including full-back Davide Santon and 18-year-old midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo in the deal.
But the biggest player switching clubs is Nainggolan. The marauding 30-year-old was long considered the engine of Roma's midfield, but regressed during the 2017-18 campaign. His smoking habits made negative headlines, and he was ultimately left off Belgium's World Cup squad because of an apparent rift with manager Roberto Martinez.
However, Inter needed a robust midfielder after qualifying for the Champions League for the first time since 2012. It became clear in the second half of last season that the Nerazzurri lacked control in midfield - a weakness they have now addressed.
Meanwhile, Pastore is expected to create a new-look midfield at Roma along with fellow arrivals Bryan Cristante and Ante Coric. Exciting winger Justin Kluivert is also in the process of completing his move from Ajax.
Pastore, who played in Serie A previously for Palermo, has long been linked with a return to Italy. Inter was reported to be interested in signing the Argentine as recently as last winter.
