Juventus has completed the signing of Brazilian winger Douglas Costa from Bayern Munich, according to Sky Sport Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio and Fabrizio Romano.

The two European giants reportedly agreed to an initial €6-million loan deal with a €40-million obligation to buy.

Costa, 26, represents the Bianconeri's first true signing of the 2017 summer window. Last month, they activated buyout clauses in the contracts of Medhi Benatia and Juan Cuadrado.

Negotiations have taken place in recent weeks over Costa, who made it clear to Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge that he wanted to leave.

Costa enjoyed a fruitful first Bundesliga season after joining the Bavarian side in 2015, but saw his minutes significantly reduced under Carlo Ancelotti over the 2016-17 campaign.

Bayern's sensational move for James Rodriguez earlier on Tuesday appears to have facilitated Costa's exit, with the Colombian expected to challenge for playing time with new teammates Franck Ribery, Thomas Muller, and Arjen Robben.

Meanwhile, Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri now has a true left-winger to fill the role after converting tireless forward Mario Mandzukic into a wide player last season.

The deal is the latest bit of business between Bayern and Juventus, who have previously swapped Arturo Vidal, Kingsley Coman, and Benatia.
