The PWHL is testing a new initiative that aims to make players' names more visible on jerseys.
The league is partnering with Molson on a multi-year agreement that'll launch with the "See My Name" campaign this Friday, International Women's Day.
For that evening's game between Montreal and Toronto, Molson will sponsor the space above the numbers on jerseys, and the names will be moved under the numbers so they can be seen more easily. The space above the digits is typically obstructed by the players' hair.
The updated jerseys will make what the PHWL is calling a special appearance for Friday's game and are currently just a pilot project.
Toronto (6-3-0-5) will host Montreal (6-3-3-2) at the Mattamy Athletic Centre on Friday at 7 p.m. ET.
