Brooks Koepka was harsh in describing his play after he missed the FedEx Cup playoffs in his first season back on the PGA TOUR.
"Pretty disappointed. I think it's pretty pathetic that I can't get through," Koepka said after his final round at the Wyndham Championship on Sunday, per GOLF.com. "Zero top 10s basically in two years. To be in the prime of your career and be as good as I think I am, I think that's very pathetic, disappointing. Just need to go home and re-evaluate everything."
Koepka, 36, is projected to finish 93rd in the FedEx Cup standings after a T-68th finish in North Carolina. The top 70 begin the playoffs next week at the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis.
The former World No. 1 left LIV Golf to return to the TOUR in January. Koepka had one top 10 in 15 starts on TOUR this season - a T-9th finish at the Cognizant Classic in March.
Koepka noted he will be making changes and pointed to a lack of confidence.
"Ball-struck it great. Just all in the greens. I don't know what the deal is," Koepka said. "Got zero confidence. Can't putt. I don't know. There's gonna be a lot of changes here soon."
Koepka is still happy with his decision to return to the TOUR despite his lack of success.
"It's been great," Koepka said. "Honestly, I've loved it. I feel fantastic. The reception's been great. Overall, happiness is 10 out of 10."
