Bryson DeChambeau isn't set on returning to the PGA TOUR if LIV Golf doesn't survive beyond its current season.

The future of the breakaway league is in severe jeopardy after Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund recently announced it will cut financial support for LIV.

"I think, from my perspective, I'd love to grow my YouTube channel three times, maybe even more," DeChambeau said Tuesday, per ESPN's Mark Schlabach.

"I would love to. I'd love to do a bunch of dubbing in different languages, giving the world more reason to watch YouTube. And then I'd love to play tournaments that want me."

DeChambeau said he's spoken with the PGA TOUR but hasn't discussed what it would take to return. He said the potential punishments imposed by the TOUR if he came back are "quite unfortunate, in my opinion, considering what I could do for them."

The two-time U.S. Open winner joined LIV in 2022 and was one of 11 golfers who sued the PGA TOUR that year. The lawsuit alleged the TOUR unfairly suspended players who defected to LIV, but DeChambeau withdrew from the suit the following year.

The PGA TOUR introduced the Returning Member Program in January to allow select LIV golfers a clear path back to the TOUR. Of the players who qualified, Brooks Koepka accepted the deal and the financial penalties included, while DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, and Cam Smith decided to honor their LIV Golf contracts.

The Returning Member Program has expired, but DeChambeau believes the TOUR and LIV Golf need to find a way to unify men's golf.

"The egos need to get dropped," DeChambeau said. "Everybody needs to come in with a level-headed playing field, with an opportunistic mindset to grow the game of golf. That's why I came over here. That's why I do what I do on YouTube."

He added, "I think it requires a little bit of everybody kind of just lowering their guards and all coming together and going, 'OK, what's best for the game of golf?'"

DeChambeau's LIV contract expires after this season, but he'll have opportunities to play professionally even if the league disbands, as he has exemption into all major championships until at least 2029.
