Bradley's message to inspire U.S. Ryder Cup comeback: '28-3'
United States captain Keegan Bradley hopes his team can channel the 2016 New England Patriots to overcome a massive deficit heading into the final day of the 2025 Ryder Cup.
When asked what Bradley can say to his players to inspire a comeback, he referenced Super Bowl LI.
"28-3," Bradley said after Saturday's shellacking at the hands of the Europeans, according to Golf Channel's Brentley Romine. "I was at that Super Bowl. I watched it. What a cool thing to have witnessed live in person."
Tom Brady and the Patriots shocked the Atlanta Falcons that winter, orchestrating the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history. This year's American squad enters Sunday's singles session trailing 11.5-4.5, the biggest deficit for any team after two rounds since 1975, according to SportsCenter.
Europe took six of eight points Saturday and needs only three wins in the singles format to retain the Ryder Cup. Europe hasn't won on American soil since 2012.
