The 2023 Sanderson Farms Championship ended in chaotic fashion Sunday, with Luke List taking the victory with an impressive 45-foot birdie putt during a five-way playoff.

"I felt really comfortable in that moment. ... It was awesome to see it go in," List said after his clutch shot.

"I was just really happy with the way I hung in there mentally throughout the weekend without my A-game. ... Usually in the past, I would kind of fold up and get a little frustrated, and I was able to just hang in there. My caddie did a fantastic job on keeping me present. Very fortunate to come out on top."

The victory marks List's second on the PGA TOUR. He won the 2022 Farmers Insurance Open in a playoff over Will Zalatoris.

Ben Griffin set up the wild finish after bogeying the final hole by narrowly missing an eight-foot putt, extending the action for himself, List, Scott Stallings, Henrik Norlander, and Ludvig Aberg.

Griffin entered Sunday's action with a three-stroke lead, while List was tied for third place.

"It's a bummer," Griffin said after falling short of his first PGA TOUR win, per The Associated Press. "I thought I was going to still be able to get it done today."

The last playoff to include at least five players was at the 2021 Wyndham Championship when Kevin Kisner beat Branden Grace, Si Woo Kim, Kevin Na, Adam Scott, and Roger Sloan.
