Americans' repeat pairings highlight Day 2 groups at Presidents Cup
The task is tall for the International team Friday after the Americans turned in a dominant performance on Day 1 to hold a 4-1 lead after foursomes action.
U.S. captain Davis Love is sticking with three of the same pairings from the opening session for Friday's four-ball teams. International leader Trevor Immelman is opting for five different combos on Day 2.
Play gets underway just after 11:30 a.m. ET at Quail Hollow in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Match No. 6, 11:35 a.m.: Jordan Spieth/Justin Thomas (U.S.) vs. Adam Scott/Cam Davis (International)
The star-studded American duo of Spieth and Thomas are together again to lead things off, with the all-Australian pair of Scott and Davis forming the competition. Spieth and Thomas won Thursday despite not having their best showings. Davis was a revelation to pair with Si Woo Kim and grabbed the International team their lone point Thursday.
Match No. 7, 11:50 a.m.: Scottie Scheffler/Sam Burns (U.S.) vs. Sungjae Im/Sebastian Munoz (International)
Scheffler and Burns also remain together despite being the only American duo to lose Thursday. Munoz gets his first action at the Presidents Cup after missing the foursomes session, while Im looks to rebound from a narrow loss alongside Corey Conners on Day 1.
Match No. 8, 12:05 p.m.: Kevin Kisner/Cam Young (U.S.) vs. Mito Pereira/Christiaan Bezuidenhout (International)
Kisner and Bezuidenhout didn't play Thursday but will both get their first action on Day 2. Kisner's brilliant putting and match-play prowess could pair well with the long-hitting Young. The International team will need Bezuidenhout's excellence on the greens to secure a point.
Match No. 9, 12:20 p.m.: Patrick Cantlay/Xander Schauffele (U.S.) vs. Hideki Matsuyama/Tom Kim (International)
Cantlay and Schauffele again looked unbeatable Thursday with a 6&5 victory over Matsuyama and Scott. The Japanese star gets a second chance against the Americans alongside young superstar Tom Kim. The 20-year-old played well in defeat Thursday and could thrust himself on the scene even further with a strong showing Friday.
Match No. 10, 12:35 p.m.: Billy Horschel/Max Homa (U.S.) vs. Corey Conners/Taylor Pendrith (International)
Horschel gets his first action alongside last week's winner in Homa. They'll face the Canadian duo of Conners and Pendrith. Horschel has shown his match-play meddle in the annual WGC-Match Play event and will be one to watch as he takes the course Friday. The Canadians are well versed in each other's games, having been teammates at the collegiate and national team levels.
