International team captain Trevor Immelman announced his six picks Tuesday for the Presidents Cup in Charlotte.

K.H. Lee, Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Sebastian Munoz, Taylor Pendrith, Cam Davis, and Si Woo Kim will join the team at Quail Hollow Club later in September. Of Immelman's six captain's selections, five of them are first-time participants.

The International team already features Hideki Matsuyama, Sungjae Im, Tom Kim, Corey Conners, Adam Scott, and Mito Pereira, but the squad was decimated by a recent wave of defections to LIV Golf, which barred would-be headliners Cam Smith and Joaquin Niemann from participating. The Presidents Cup is fully sanctioned by the PGA TOUR.

The biannual event pits a U.S. team against an international squad (excluding European players). It last ran in 2019 - this year's Presidents Cup was rescheduled from 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic - and the United States captured its eighth consecutive victory.

Seven countries are represented by this edition of the International team: Australia, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Japan, South Africa, and South Korea.

Immelman announced that Mike Weir, K.J. Choi, Geoff Ogilvy, and Camilo Villegas would serve as his assistants back in April.

The Presidents Cup will run from Sept. 20-25.
