The U.S. Open fancies itself as the toughest test in golf, a claim Grayson Murray would likely agree with based on his performance Sunday morning.
The 28-year-old came to the seventh hole at even par for his round but walked away with a quadruple-bogey. Needless to say, he wasn't overly pleased and promptly sent his putter flying into the rough.
It wouldn't get any better two holes later when a triple-bogey on the ninth brought his mark in the opening stretch to 42. Murray then snapped his iron in two after a wayward approach on the 10th.

With the ensuing bogey on No. 10, Murray dropped to 16-over for the tournament, currently beating only Harris English among players to make the cut.
