Charl Schwartzel picked up where he left off after Thursday's first round, posting a 4-under 66 to get to 9-under for the tournament on Friday at Centurion Club at LIV Golf's inaugural event.
Fellow Stinger GC teammate Hennie Du Plessis finished Friday's round in second at 6-under. Their two scores combined for a seven-stroke lead at 15-under on the team leaderboard.
Crushers GC is in second at 8-under, while Majesticks GC is in third at 6-under. Dustin Johnson's 4 Aces GC is in fourth at 4-under thanks to Johnsons's even-par 70 on Friday to stay at 1-under and Oliver Bekker's 3-under 67 to get to 3-under.
Phil Mickelson shot a 5-over 75 on Friday to fall back into a tie for 26th at 4-over in the 48-player field.
