International Team captain Trevor Immelman announced Tuesday that Mike Weir, K.J. Choi, Geoff Ogilvy, and Camilo Villegas will be his assistants at the Presidents Cup in September.
It's the third time that Weir, Choi, and Ogilvy will be captain's assistants at the event, but the first time for Villegas.
Weir has played in five Presidents Cups and is an eight-time PGA TOUR winner. Choi and Ogilvy both played in three Presidents Cups and are also both eight-time TOUR winners. Villegas, from Colombia, made one previous appearance at the event and is a four-time TOUR winner.
Weir, Choi, and Ogilvy were all assistants at the last Presidents Cup in 2019, when the International Team narrowly lost to the U.S. 16-14 after the Americans came from behind to win it in the singles matches.
The 2022 Presidents Cup will take place at Quail Hollow Club in North Carolina from Sept. 20-25.
