Woods (lower leg) played a practice round with Justin Thomas at Augusta National on Tuesday, Bob Harig of SI.com reports.
Analysis:There has been all kinds of speculation over the last couple weeks as to whether or not Woods would tee it up at the Masters after suffering serious injuries to his right leg and foot in a car accident 13 months ago. He played at the PNC Challenge with his son Charlie last December, but was able to use a cart, something he wouldn't be able to do if he plays the Masters. Woods could theoretically play a few more practice rounds at Augusta before ultimately deciding whether or not he would be able to play in the Masters which begins April 7. This is obviously an event that means a ton to Woods, which is why he is trying so hard to get into tournament shape probably a little quicker than he should. We should know at some point next week whether the five-time Masters champ will tee it up for the first time in an official PGA Tour event since November of 2020 at the COVID-delayed Masters.
