Will Zalatoris withdrew from this week's Pebble Beach Pro-Am after testing positive for COVID-19, the PGA TOUR announced Tuesday.
Greg Chalmers will replace the reigning rookie of the year.
Zalatoris moved up to 29th in the world rankings after a runner-up finish at the Farmers Insurance Open last week. The 25-year-old had a chance to earn his first TOUR victory on the 72nd hole but missed his putt and proceeded to come up short in a playoff against Luke List.
The Pebble Beach Pro-Am begins Thursday in California. Patrick Cantlay, Jordan Spieth, and Jason Day are among the biggest names in the field.
