Viktor Hovland birdied his final hole on Sunday to claim a one-shot victory over Aaron Wise at the Mayakoba Golf Classic.
Hovland shot a final-round 65 to erase the two-shot deficit he faced going into the day, which vanished when he made four birdies in his opening six holes to take the outright lead.
He rebounded from his only bogey - on No. 12 - with back-to-back red numbers to create a two-shot cushion.
Wise made a run of his own two groups ahead of Hovland. He turned in a bogey-free 63 to hold the clubhouse lead at 19-under and force Hovland to come up clutch on No. 18.
The 23-year-old Norwegian did just that. He piped his drive down the fairway, stuck his approach to roughly 10 feet, and made the right-to-left breaking putt.
It's Hovland's second win of his PGA Tour career, and both of them have been secured with birdies on the 18th hole. He's the first former Puerto Rico Open champion - which he also won in 2020 - to win another PGA Tour event, putting an end to the "Puerto Rico Open Curse."

Emiliano Grillo, who led by four strokes after 36 holes and one going into the final round, shot 1-over to settle into a tie for eighth.
Tony Finau made a run with a front-nine 31 but played the closing nine at 1-over to also finish with a share of eighth at 15-under.
Justin Thomas failed to make a charge on Sunday. He posted 69 to end up in a tie for 12th.
Mayakoba marked the final official event of the 2020 calendar on the PGA Tour. The circuit resumes Jan. 7 in Maui for the Tournament of Champions.
