Sam Burns retained his 36-hole lead over Jason Day and Carlos Ortiz after shooting a 3rd-round 68 at the Houston Open on Saturday.
Burns entered the day ahead by two but struggled early to hold on to the top spot. However, a back-nine rally in combination with a costly three-putt from Day on No. 18 handed the outright edge back to the 24-year-old, who will be looking to secure his first PGA Tour title on Sunday.

After opening the week with a 2-over 72 in his first round since testing positive for COVID-19, Dustin Johnson fired his second straight 66 to vault into fifth. If the world No. 1 pulls off the comeback, it will be the first time in his career he's won after shooting over par in Round 1, according to the PGA Tour's Sean Martin.
