The field

The two most recent recipients of the PGA Tour's Rookie of the Year honor, Scottie Scheffler and Sungjae Im, headline the 144-man field in action this week. Scheffler is making his first start since testing positive for COVID-19 and being forced to withdraw from the U.S. Open; Im will be looking for revenge after losing in a playoff at last year's Sanderson Farms.

Other notables in Mississippi this week are Henrik Stenson, Korn Ferry Tour standouts Will Zalatoris and Davis Riley, defending champion Sebastian Munoz, and breakthrough candidates Sam Burns and Doc Redman.

The course

The Country Club of Jackson is a 7,461-yard, par-72 course that tends to yield low scores due to its set of scoreable par 5s. It's forgiving off the tee, which allows long hitters to let it fly, but also gives shorter hitters like Ryan Raan Armour and Peter Malnati a chance to win. The greens are easier to hit than the average PGA Tour venue, which can turn Sanderson Farms into a putting competition.
