Swafford, Sepp Straka, Scott Harrington, and Tyler McCumber all shot a 7-under to open the week in Punta Cana. Straka was the only member of the co-leaders to card the low round in the morning wave, which played over a stroke easier, according to Data Golf.

Ten players share the seventh spot at 5-under. Kyle Stanley, Jamie Lovemark, and Canadian David Hearn are included in that group.

Henrik Stenson - the top-ranked player in the field - turned in a 2-under round to settle into a share of 46th.

Round 2 of the tournament begins Friday at 6:30 a.m. ET.
