Justin Thomas is poking fun at Tiger Woods ahead of the 15-time major winner's return to the PGA Tour.

"I think he was starting to get a little sassy. I was telling him he's scared to come out and play against all of us when he's sitting at home, just trying to give him a hard time," Thomas said, according to Golf Channel's Rex Hoggard.

The two last played together in May prior to Woods teeing it up with Phil Mickelson, Tom Brady, and Peyton Manning in The Match: Champions for Charity.

"I hadn't played with him in a while. Just because I've been busy. I've been playing, and he's been home," Thomas added. "I'm glad that he's finally coming back out."

Woods committed earlier this week to his first PGA Tour event since March when he confirmed he's playing at the Memorial Tournament beginning July 16.

Thomas holds a two-shot lead heading into Sunday at the Workday Charity Open in Ohio.
