The PGA Tour plans to restart its season June 11 after halting due to the coronavirus pandemic. Each day until then, we'll highlight key moments, people, or facts relating to where we are in the countdown.

Have you ever squeezed in a quick 18 while rushing to beat the darkness over the last few holes? How about a marathon day of 36 holes from sun up to sun down? What about trying to jam in over 200 holes in a day?

That's the mark required to set the Guinness World Record for most holes played in 12 hours. And there are two ways to accomplish the feat.

The record for the most holes played in half a day while walking is 221, which is over 12 full rounds. Scott Holland set that record while playing the iconic Fairmont Banff Springs course in Canada, according to Guinness World Records. And in an effort to speed up his play, he used only one club the entire time - a seven iron.

For a quick comparison, the average time - or at least the target time - to spend on 18 holes is four hours. The record-setter averaged under an hour during each 18-hole lap.

If you aren't up for walking, set your sights on the record for most holes played while using a cart. But you'll need a partner.

The bar is obviously higher, with the current record sitting at 290. That's over 16 rounds in one day. Most amateurs are lucky to play 12 rounds in an entire year, let alone that many or more in 12-hour stretch.

To give you an idea of what speed golf looks like, here are some European Tour players attempting to set the Guinness World Record for the fastest hole played.
